Syllabus
Prerequisites: The course, as basic, does not require specific prerequisites
Target skills and knowledge: The student at the end of the course should be aware of the fundamental argumentative structures of philosophical discourse and must be able to apply them
Examination methods: Oral examination at the end of the course
Assessment criteria: Will be considered in the evaluation:
the ability of the argumentative reconstruction of texts discussed in class;
the ability of the argumentative reconstruction of texts dealt with in an autonomous way;
hermeutics ability ermenutica;
The adequacy of the philosophical language.
Course unit contents: The course aims to introduce the concept of philosophy. To do so will be dealt with texts by classical authors (Plato, Kant, Hegel) and some texts related to contemporary philosophical debate (Putnam, Rorty, Danto, Williams).
To focus the main features of philosophical discourse, will proceed, through both the classical authors, both through some main thinkers of the contemporary debate, a comparison on the one hand of the way of being of philosophy and the way of being of natural sciences and a comparison of the way of being of philosophy and the way of being of of artistic discourse and particular narrative on the other.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course consists of lectures by the teacher with the assistance of some experts
