Prerequisites: Knowledge of basic notions of physics, mathematics and general biology are required, as specified in the Faculty of Psychology enrolling requirements.
Moreover, adequate knowledge is also required of notions of cell biology, genetics and human physiology.
Examination methods: Upon request to the professor, the written exam could be taken by the student also in English language.

The written exam consists in a series of questions (open question, multiple choice questions, or anatomy tables/illustrations to denominate), which the students are required to answer in about 30-45 mins.
Course unit contents: Anatomy and physiology of the neuron, the action potential, synaptic transmission, neural circuitry
Anatomy of the central and peripheral nervous system, the autonomic nervous system
Hormones and endocrine system
Sensory apparata and processing of sensorial information
Psychobiology of cognitive processes (memory, learning, emotion, language, etc)
