Syllabus
Prerequisites: Culculus in one variable, complex numbers, series, matrices and vector spaces.
Target skills and knowledge: Theory and applications of calculus in several real variables and one complex variable and of ordinary differential equations.
Examination methods: Written exam, possibly completed with an oral part.
Assessment criteria: The student must show good understanding of the theory tought in the course as well as capability of using such tools to solve exercises and problems.
Course unit contents: Functions of several real variables: continuity, differential calculus and applications. Integrals along curves and differential forms. Integration of functions of several variables. Surfaces and surface integrals. Ordinary differential equations. Holomorphic functions of a complex variable.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Lectures on theory and exercises.
Additional notes about suggested reading: A standard text will be followed. The teacher produces also some additional material available online.
