Syllabus
Target skills and knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the fundamental elements and the synchronic and diachronic developments of ancient Greek and Roman tragic and comic theatre, with regards also to historical, political, literary and archaeological aspects. In-depth knowledge of the texts in their specificity as theatrical scripts meant for the stage.
Examination methods: Oral exam
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Reading and in-depth critical analysis of Greek and Roman dramas, and of modern rewritings thereof.
The course will include several workshops.
