Syllabus
Prerequisites: Nothing in particular.
Target skills and knowledge: The course aims at giving the students a basic knowledge of the writing system, grammar and lexicon of the Japanese language. Particular emphasis is placed on the acquisition of passive competences.
Examination methods: Written test.
Assessment criteria: Correct grammatical proficiency and memorization of writing system and lexicon used in class.
Course unit contents: Presentation of the Japanese writing system (hiragana, katakana, kanji); basic notions of morpholgy and syntax; exercices of sentence formation, reading and writing.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Frontal lessons + homework to be checked during classes.
