Target skills and knowledge: The purpose of the course is to arouse the interest of students by showing them how the study of the sociology of education can be an important knowledge that can explain, understand and orient educational policies. It becomes fundamental in this respect the acquisition of basic concepts of delle'educazione sociology; the demonstration of knowing how to analyze and interpret the facts related to the size of socialization with special attention to specific problems connected with educational and training contexts

Course unit contents: The course aims to provide students with the theoretical tools needed to analyze, through a sociological approach, the study and the evolution of society with particular reference to the roles and functions of education and socialization systems. Also attention will be paid to the problems connected to the definition of the teaching profession related to the need to present a more integrated and interdisciplinary teaching, and in the light of social changes.
