Target skills and knowledge: This course covers the advanced or more recent topics of Database Systems. The lectures, homeworks, and laboratory assignments will in part be motivated by and organized around the design and implementation of a basic database applications useful in a real-world applications.
Examination methods: Written test and possibly laboratory project activity.
Assessment criteria: Knowledge of the topics.
Course unit contents: Core topics include material necessary to understand how an advanced DBMS system is constructed and functions. The following topics will be covered:
