Prerequisites: Compentence in English at least at the A2+ level of the CEF.
Target skills and knowledge: Communicative microlinguistic competences in economic context.
Examination methods: Written exam , lasting 1 hour, composed of grammar exercises, comprehension of a microlinguistic text, short guided written composition.
Assessment criteria: The exam will be considered passed if the candidate achieves a sufficient level in at least 2/3 of its parts.
Course unit contents: Articles, some, any, no and their compounds, past simple, present perfect, past perfect continuous, present perfect continuous, if-clauses (three types), future tenses.
Development of microlingusitic competences related to the economic field or alike.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Ex cathedra lessons and communicative classroom activities.
Guided and commented readings of microlinguistic texts.
Grammar notions will be developed by having recourse to communicative methodologies (e.g.: songs).
Additional notes about suggested reading: Course materials will be handed out by the professor during the classes.
The grammar books listed in the bibliography must be considered as "suggested" (one optionally).
The volume Santipolo 2006 must be considered as a cultural introdoction to English as a world language.
