Syllabus
Target skills and knowledge: The "Digital Signal Processing" course (taught in Italian) will extend in 4 direction the notions learned in the previous "Signal and Systems" course:
1) Signals:
Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT),
Spectral analysis of sinusoidal signals,
Zeta Transform,
Multidimensional (MD) Fourier Transform
2) Systems:
Linear (shift-invariant) systems Causal and non-causal, 1D e MD,
Non-linear systems 1D e MD.
3) Implementation and design:
Structures for FIR e IIR filters
Finite arithmetic effects in the implementation of linear systems
FIR and IIR design techniques
4) Applications:
Design and implementation of multi-rate systems for sampling rate conversion

The students will also become acquainted with MATLAB, SIMULINK and multimedia material (audio, images, video, 3D geometry data) used to exemplify the properties of the signals and systems covered in the course.
