Syllabus
Target skills and knowledge: Knowledge of Greek and Roman theatre in its essential characteristics (also from an archaeological standpoint). Assessment of the permanence and vitality of classical culture in modern times.
Examination methods: oral exam
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Reading of ancient dramas in the Italian translation; analysis of footage from contemporary productions of the dramas and/or of modern rewritings; analysis of iconographical and archaeological material. Particular activities will be dedicated especially to the relevant archaeological aspects.
