Syllabus
Prerequisites: Students are required to have passed the exam of Diritto Penale 1
Target skills and knowledge: The course aims at providing students with a basi knowledge of european and transnational criminal law. In particular it aims at providing students with the critical awareness of the main problems concerning criminal law in its transnational dimension, specifically concerning the relations between european-made criminal provisions and domestic criminal law.
Examination methods: The exam consists in an oral interview.
Assessment criteria: The students who will pass the exam must have_
- adequate level of knowledge of the subject;
- abilities to apply principles and norms to real cases;
- ability to comunicate the acquired knowledge
Course unit contents: a. Definition of the crime, in its global and international dimension;
b. Origin of European Criminal Law;
c. Sources of european criminal law;
d. ne bis in idem principle;
e. concept of "criminal matter"
f. Double Jeopardy and domestic sistems
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Attendind students will be higly involved in discussion of cases on a problem-solving base-approach.
