Syllabus
Prerequisites:
Target skills and knowledge:: The German Language Course aims at improving the linguistic skills at B1 Level of the European Framework with particular attention to the vocabulary and the grammar of the juridical Language (Rechtssprache). The student should learn the meta-reflection about the German Language, also in a contrastive approach with the Italian Language.
Course unit contents:
Planned learning activities: The main and global goal is to improve the knowledge of the German Language in order to reach the level B 1 (European Framework) with particular attention to vocabulary and grammar.

At the B1 level, students can understand the main points of discussions and texts on familiar matters encountered at work, school, leisure, etc. At the end of the course students will be able to produce simple connected text on familiar topics and can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions. They can also give explanations for plans and opinions. They will also know the main structures of the juridical language.

The main goals are:
1. to improve the vocabulary
2. to operate referring to the own culture and the foreign one
3. to recognise and use a specialised vocabulary
4. to improve the linguistic skills
5. to understand the 'other' culture in a comparative way with the own one

Saibene Maria Grazie, Grammatica descrittiva della lingua tedesca. Roma: Carrocci, 2002. grammatica di riferimento, se non si è già in possesso di un'altra grammatica
Teaching methods: Every cfu corresponds to 8 hours frontal lessons. Eventual exercises could be offered after Professor's evaluation.
Distance lessons are not planned.
The course is articulated in frontal lessons and is based on different materials collected in a reader by the professor (the reader will be available in February 2013 at the front office of the University in Treviso)
Assessment criteria: Written and oral examination about the programm realised during the course.
