Prerequisites:
Target skills and knowledge::
Course unit contents: Over the past thirty years, in developing and emerging countries, non governmental actors, international organizations, governments and financial institutions experimented and replicated innovative financial practices, oriented to include households and firms at the margins of financial systems. The course aims to review the variety of microfinance experiences, analysing origins and theoretical background, approaches and techniques, institutional configurations and evolution paths, performances and policy implications.

1) University Meets Microfinance" (UMM) è un programma che si pone l'obiettivo di creare una cooperazione tra le Università, gli studenti e gli operatori di microfinanza in Europa.

UMM è stato promosso dalla Ong (Organizzazione Non Governativa) PlaNet Finance e da Freie Universitat Berlin ed è cofinanziato dall'Unione Europea nel quadro del Programma "Education for Development ".
