Syllabus
Prerequisites:
Target skills and knowledge:: Teaching aims to provide the student the main morphosyntactic notions for development of basic language skills.
Course unit contents: The phonetic and morphosyntactic system of Russian language.
Reading, translation and analysis of texts on various cultural, social and political topics.
Conversation on the treated subjects.
Planned learning activities: The program consists of a theory and a practical part. The theoretical part consists of teaching the alphabet, phonetic rules, the basic structure of the sentence concerning nouns and adjectives and their inflections, verbs and their conjugation, common idioms.
The practical part aims to develop communicative skills through exercise of theoretical concepts.
Readings of simple texts will complete the course, in order to develop the vocabulary and at the same time, to make known the student culture, history and current affairs of Russia.

Teaching methods: Lectures in the 2nd Semester.
Exercises in 1st and 2nd Semester with dr E. Kandybina.
Assessment criteria: The examination (9 ECTS) consists of two levels, each of which includes a written test and an oral test.
First level (preliminary Test). Written test: lexical-grammatical test without vocabulary and composition with vocabulary support on topics covered during these exercises. Oral examination: reading, translation and commentary of texts analysed in class or during exercises; Russian conversation on the treated subjects.
Second level. Written test with vocabulary support: text to translate from Russian to Italian and composition on topics covered during these exercises. Oral examination: reading, translation and analysis of texts on topics of cultural, social and political spheres; Russian conversation on the studied topics.
The final grade is the average of the grades obtained in tests of first and second level.
