Syllabus: METHODS OF RESEARCH IN EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS (MOD. B)
Prerequisites:
Target skills and knowledge:: Outputs of the course are competences about conceptually and procedural knowledge of research methods in educational area (quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods).
Course unit contents: The goals of course is a reasoned and critical analysis of main empirical methods of educational research (quantitative, qualitative and mix methods) and their own philosophical, psichological and educational paradigms.
Planned learning activities: a)Presuppositions, evolution, and applications of objectivist and socio-constructivist paradigms to learning-teaching practices and to their own research methods;
b)analysis and development of research design: from experimental-quantitative methods to qualitative methods; methodological mixed perspective.
