Syllabus
Prerequisites: DEA related disciplines offer conceptual tools and methodological approaches for deep observing and interpreting social,cultural and artistic events in complex societies.
Target skills and knowledge:: The competences acquired by the end of the class relate to key questions in a contemporary setting such as notions of culture,identity,ethnocentrism,interculturalism,local vis-à-vis global.
Course unit contents: The course is divided in two parts. The first is introductory, aiming to present project and methods of the discipline; the second aims to introduce students into a specific theme inside the anthropological discourse, providing examples directly related with the students'major subject. The third is a seminar (indigenous America and nation states)
