Common characteristics of the Integrated Course unit

Specific characteristics of the Module

Course unit contents: Alimentary system: tumors of the oral cavity, esophageal diseases and specific diseases of the
gastrointestinal tract (mega esophagus, GDV), gastrointestinal tumors
Lives: feline lipidosis, steroid-induced epatopathy, shunt, liver tumors
Urinary system: renal dysplasia, familial disorders, classification and physiopathology of
gomerulonephritis
Respiratory system: influenza, viral diseases and tumors
Skeletal muscle: inflammatory and immune-mediated myopathies, diagnostic procedures
Central nervous system: tumors and specific aspects of the central nervous system diseases
The intertegument: skin tumors and specific aspects of the intertegument
Cardiovascular system: specific aspects of congenital diseases and neoplasia
Hemopoietic system: spleen nodular disorders
Reproductive system: pyometra, endometrial hyperplasia and tumors
Mammary gland: tumors
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: frontal lectures with discussion of gross pictures projected in lecture hall
