Syllabus
Prerequisites: Fundamentals of human geography.
Target skills and knowledge:: I.To obtain knowledge of the elements, dynamics and processes that set up the sequence: actors-relation-territory.
II.To obtain knowledge on the “territorialist” approach to the local territory development.
Course unit contents: I.Actors and planning: the relational approach; the costitutive elements of the relation; the power.
I.Practices of territory construction: actors, rationality of the action, systems of the action, territorial representations and territorial conflicts; the territorial game; territory; partecipative strategies to the territory construction; territorialization; projects, knots and networks; representations; territoriality; resources.
II.The territorial desease. Practices of the territory construction: fundamental elements of the “territorialista”approach to the local planning; the “crisis” of the contemporary territorialization and territoriality; self sustainable development; the participatory approach; the new roles of social, institutional and culturals actors.
