Prerequisites: Based knowledge about pedagogy and evolutive psychology
Target skills and knowledge:: Students, at the end of this course, have to reach these learnings:

To known and analyse:
1. Emotive dynamics bond to illness and hospitalisation in children and their family.
2. Educational risks for sick children and their family
3. Difficulties in chronic sick adolescents.
4. Difficulties in transplanted adult patients
5. Difficulties in older people affected by stroke


To known and select for use:
1. Educational instruments right for hospitalised and sick children and their family.
2. Educational instruments right for chronic adolescents.
3. Educational instruments right for adult and older people
Course unit contents: Course provides tree phases of search:

First
Sick children: emotive dynamics.
Sick children’s parents: educational risks.
Illness as critic event in identity construction process for a young subject.
Chronic adolescents: limits and difficulties in special phases of identity construction process.
Transplanted adult patients and their compliance
Older people affected by stroke and the consequence for their autonomy and self-esteem

Second
Sick children’s education: strategy and instruments.
Sick children’s family: educational accompanying
Education and chronic pathology: instruments and strategy dedicated to adolescent phases.
Motivational interview and mutual help groups for adult and older patients.

Topic workshops:
1. Resilience of patients
2. Project work in education
3. Story telling and autobiography as positive experience with patients
