Curriculum Vitae
Daniele Desideri took the degree in Electronic Engineering on 1989 at the University of Padova with full marks and honours. On 1994 he took the PhD in "Elettrotecnica" (Electrical Engineering), PhD course at the University of Padova. From 1994 to 2004 he was University research assistant of Electrical Engineering, and since 2004 he has been an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering.
Member of the "Senato Accademico Allargato" (extension of the Senatus Academicus) of the University of Padova, representing the Associate Professors of Engineering, for the years 2006-2008. Coordinator for the University of Padova – Dept. of Electrical Engineering of an agreement with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca – Dept. of Electrical Engineering for the years 2009-2011.

Research areas
La sua attività di ricerca si è svolta principalmente nei settori dei plasmi termonucleari, della compatibilità elettromagnetica (EMC) e dei film nanostrutturati.
Nel settore dei plasmi termonucleari si è occupato di: sviluppo di modelli circuitali di sistemi elettrici; analisi di circuiti elettrici di potenza di tipo induttivo-capacitivo aventi carico non lineare; identificazione rapida della struttura magnetica interna in plasmi.
Nei settori EMC e dei film nanostrutturati si è occupato di: analisi del campo elettrico di una linea in Media Tensione; valutazioni dell'esposizione umana ai campi magnetici prodotti da saldatrici elettriche; realizzazione di celle TEM; fabbricazione, con sistema a magnetron sputtering, e caratterizzazione di film nanostrutturati. Tematiche di ricerca attuali sono: efficienza di schermatura ed energy harvesting.
E' coautore di circa 90 lavori, pubblicati su riviste o negli atti di congressi internazionali.

His research activities have been focused mainly on the fields of thermonuclear plasma, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and nanostructured films.
In the field of thermonuclear plasma he was involved in: equivalent electrical networks for the analysis of electrical systems; analyses of power inductive-capacitive circuits with non linear load; fast reconstruction of the plasma internal magnetic configuration.
In the fields of EMC and of nanostructured films he was involved in: analyses of the electric field of a MV line; studies on welding equipments with reference to human exposure to electromagnetic fields; realization of TEM cells; fabrication, by a magnetron sputtering system, and characterization of nanostructured films. He is now working in the fields of shielding effectiveness and energy harvesting.
He is co-author of about 90 papers, published in journals or international conferences.
