Proposals for thesis

Curriculum Vitae
Francesco Pirotti's research interests are in remote sensing applications for forestry and the environmental sciences, natural hazards and risk, in particular using laser scanning (lidar) data. He uses collaborative web solutions for applying new algorithms to large remote sensing datasets. He has also investigated full-waveform lidar data for forestry applications. He is in several national and international scientific committees and research groups related to geomatics.
He teaches remote sensing and geographic information systems in higher-education and holds several connected external courses.

He is author of 90+ articles in national and international journals; 82 of which peer-reviewed scientific journals.
