Curriculum Vitae
Angelo Cenedese received the Laurea Degree in Electronic Engineering in 1999, from the University of Padova (UniPD); in 2000 he completed a post-graduate course on Plasma Physics and Engineering with the National Research Council and the University of Padova; and in 2004 he received the Ph.D. in Energy Science from the same University.

In 2004 he joined the Department of Information Engineering (DEI), UniPD, on a post-doctoral fellowship. From 2006 he was Assistant Professor (Automatica – ING-INF/04), and since 2015 he has been Associate Professor with the Department of Information Engineering, UniPD.

He is member and co-founder of the HIT - Human Inspired Technologies Research Centre, member of the PNC - Padua Neuroscience Center, and he is member and in the directive board of the CRF - Center for Research on Fusion and of the CIRGEO - Interdepartmental Research Center of Geomatics, all of the University of Padova. He is also Research Associate of the CNR-IEIIT (Institute of Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering). He is the scientific responsible of NAVLAB, the research laboratory of the Control and Automation Group, and of MAG2IC, the Flying Arena and Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory, Dept. of Information Engineering.

He has held several visiting positions at international Universities and Research Centers: the UKAEA-JET laboratories in the Culham Research Centre, Abingdon, UK (2002-04), the JAERI Institute, Naka, Japan (2000) and General Atomics, San Diego, CA (2004), the Vision Lab of UCLA, Los Angeles, CA (2010), the Fusion for Energy (F4E) European Agency, Spain (2014).

He was responsible for software tasks for the European Project EFDA-JET Enhancement on Magnetic Diagnostics (2002-04), PI in the project "SIMEA: Integrated/distributed System for Energetic and Environmental Monitoring" (2010-12) funded by Regione Veneto, in the EU Fusion for Energy (F4E) project "Analysis of real-time magnetic reconstruction in ITER", and in other projects on multiagent systems and sensor-actor networks funded by government institutions and industries. He was also actively involved in several EU Projects ("ELT Design Study - Technology development towards a European Extremely Large Telescope" - FP6 (2005-09); EFDA-JET Projects on control and diagnostics (2001-04); "FeedNetBack - Feedback design for wireless networked systems" - STREP ICT FP7 (2008-11), "HYCON2 - Highly-complex and networked control systems", NoE FP7 (2010-13)); in the "WISEWAI - Wireless Sensor networks for city-Wide Ambient Intelligence" project, funded by CaRiPaRo foundation (2007-10); in the MIUR 2012 Smart Cities project "SEAL: Smart Domotics for Safe and Energy Aware Assisted Living"; in several National PRIN Projects among which "Smart Environments" (2006-08). He is currently involved as PI or participant in several projects related to multi-agent systems, aerial vehicles and satellites, both singles and in formation.

His research collaborations include European Southern Observatory, Garching, Germany, ENEA-EURATOM, INFN, UCLA, Imperial College London, and several industrial partners.

He was a co-organizer of the national control congress SIDRA 2008 (Vicenza, Italy), Publication and Publicity Chair for the 1st IFAC Workshop NECSYS 2009 (Venice, Italy), publication co-chair of the IFAC World Congress 2011 (Milan, Italy), and Special sessions co-chair, for the ICM2013 - IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics (Vicenza, Italy).
