Brief description of the degree course
Caratteristiche e finalità
Il corso di laurea in Scienze e Tecnologie per l'Ambiente (STAm) forma un laureato attraverso un percorso didattico integrato e multidisciplinare che si fonda su solide basi scientifiche fornite dagli insegnamenti fondamentali di matematica, fisica e chimica, e che fornisce quindi competenze nelle scienze ambientali e in particolare nei settori delle scienze naturali e delle scienze agrarie e forestali. Pertanto, i laureati in STAm: possiedono una cultura sistemica di ambiente e conoscenza e prassi del metodo scientifico per l'analisi di componenti e fattori di processi, sistemi e problemi riguardanti l'ambiente, con particolare riguardo all'ambiente modificato dagli esseri umani; sono capaci di collaborare con compiti tecnico operativi o professionali in attività quali rilevamento, classificazione, analisi, ripristino e conservazione di componenti abiotiche e biotiche di ecosistemi naturali, acquatici e terrestri, analisi e monitoraggio di sistemi e processi ambientali gestiti dall'uomo, nella prospettiva della sostenibilità e della prevenzione, ai fini di promuovere la qualità dell'ambiente, localizzazione, diagnostica, ripristino e tutela delle risorse ambientali.

Ambiti occupazionali
Ai laureati in Scienze e Tecnologie per l'Ambiente sono affidati rilevamenti negli ecosistemi, il monitoraggio e controllo delle risorse naturali, la definizione dell'eco-compatibilità degli utilizzi. Gli sbocchi professionali sono quindi negli assessorati per l'ambiente, nelle Arpa ma anche nei laboratori di ricerca o di controllo sia pubblici che privati, nelle Imprese di servizi e in tutte le aziende che lavorano in campo ambientale.

Il corso dà accesso al corso di laurea magistrale in Scienze e Tecnologie per l'Ambiente e il Territorio (STAmT), secondo le modalità che saranno indicate nello specifico avviso di ammissione.
