Syllabus
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of the computer (software and hardware components).
Very rough familiarity with word processing (word) and spreadsheets (excel).
Target skills and knowledge: This course covers computer skills and history of computers and of operating systems . The specific applications used are Windows, MacOSX, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The course material is based on Windows and Microsoft Office 2013.
Examination methods: Theoretical part (multiple-choice, true-false questions)
Practical part (making word formatting, graphing and excel calculation)
Assessment criteria: The student will have to prove a satisfactory understanding of the most relevant features in terms of hardware and software components. The student's ability to manage word documents and to perform calculations will be verified
