In addition, these criteria will evaluate the student's ability to operate the connections among different topics.
Course unit contents: General considerations on living organisms. Molecules and macromolecules of biological interest. The cell: morphology, organization, physiology and metabolism. Protein synthesis and its meaning. Types of cell division. Mendel and the gene idea. The chromosomal and molecular basis of heredity.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The teacher will expose the subjects taking care to emphasize and clarify essential aspects and mutual connections. Active role of the students is encouraged during the course.
Additional notes about suggested reading: The audio-visual material projected during the lectures will be available on the E-learning platform from the day of the lesson. For info on materials and examination in English, please contact the course teacher.
