Brief description of the degree course
Caratteristiche e finalità
Il laureato riceve una formazione che gli permette di organizzare e coordinare le attività specifiche relative all'alimentazione in generale e alla dietetica in particolare; di collaborare con gli organi preposti alla tutela dell'aspetto igienico sanitario del servizio di alimentazione; di elaborare, formulare e attuare le diete prescritte dal medico e controllarne l'accettabilità̀ da parte del paziente. Il laureato collabora inoltre con altre figure al trattamento multidisciplinare dei disturbi del comportamento alimentare; studia ed elabora la composizione di razioni alimentari atte a soddisfare i bisogni nutrizionali di gruppi di popolazione e pianifica l'organizzazione dei servizi di alimentazione di comunità di sani e di malati; svolge attività didattico-educativa e di informazione finalizzate alla diffusione di principi di alimentazione corretta, tale da consentire il recupero e il mantenimento di un buono stato di salute del singolo, di collettività e di gruppi di popolazione.

Ambiti occupazionali
Il laureato può svolgere la sua attività professionale in strutture pubbliche e private, come dipendente o libero professionista. I principali ambiti lavorativi del dietista sono le strutture sanitarie pubbliche (ospedali, ambulatori, dipartimenti di prevenzione ed altri servizi territoriali del Sistema sanitario nazionale) e private (cliniche, ambulatori). Altri ambiti lavorativi riguardano la ristorazione collettiva, l'industria alimentare, l'industria farmaceutica e la ricerca.

Dalla triennale alla magistrale
Il corso dà accesso al corso di laurea magistrale in Scienze delle professioni sanitarie e tecniche diagnostiche, secondo le modalità che saranno indicate nello specifico avviso di ammissione.
