Target skills and knowledge:

The purpose of the class is to provide students with: [1]the theoretical background for the analysis of the economic dimension of each organization; [2] basic knowledge for managing multiple business trade-offs and resources allocation [3] managerial tools, in order to understand governance issues, stakeholder relationships, and basic bookkeeping (Module A); [4] a theoretical background for the analysis of a firm’s strategic decisions; [5] an explanation of how resources and competences can be exploited to achieve and sustain competitive advantage; [6] an introduction to the different frameworks for strategy implementation (Module B). |
