Brief description of the degree course
Caratteristiche e finalità
Il corso è organizzato in modo da fornire allo studente una preparazione propedeutica per il proseguimento nel corso di studio magistrale in Scienze forestali e ambientali, garantendo nel contempo l'acquisizione di una sufficiente professionalità per l'avviamento nel mondo del lavoro al termine del triennio. Il progressivo livello di approfondimento della preparazione in ambito forestale e ambientale è ritmato nei tre anni di studio partendo dalle discipline di base, proseguendo con quelle caratterizzanti e terminando con quelle di tipo professionalizzante. Questa struttura garantisce allo studente di maturare una spiccata attitudine: all'approfondimento delle relazioni tra i fattori ambientali e le opportunità di fruire delle risorse offerte dal territorio; alla valutazione dei possibili effetti delle attività umane sulle risorse ambientali e forestali; alla definizione delle più efficaci strategie di conservazione degli habitat naturali e semi-naturali; alla tutela e valorizzazione degli assetti naturalistici del territorio e del paesaggio nel suo assieme.

Ambiti occupazionali
Il laureato svolge compiti tecnici di progettazione, gestione e controllo in strutture pubbliche e private che operano nella amministrazione e gestione sostenibile delle risorse forestali e nella protezione dell'ambiente e della natura, nella progettazione e gestione degli interventi destinati alla cura e alla difesa dei boschi, nella manutenzione, controllo e tutela del territorio, con particolare riferimento a quello montano. Il laureato può sostenere l'esame di abilitazione all'esercizio della libera professione nell'ambito della Sezione B – dottori agronomi junior e dottori forestali junior dell'albo professionale dell'Ordine dei dottori agronomi e dottori forestali; il laureato può sostenere anche l'esame di abilitazione all'esercizio della libera professione di perito agrario laureato e di agrotecnico laureato.

Dalla triennale alla magistrale
Il corso dà accesso ai corsi di laurea magistrale in Scienze forestali e ambientali e in Scienze e tecnologie agrarie, secondo le modalità che saranno indicate negli specifici avvisi di ammissione.
