Syllabus
Target skills and knowledge: Students will develop competences on community intervention planning, implementation and evaluation, to promote psychosocial well-being across different levels of analysis.
Course unit contents: Principles of Community Psychology
Promotion of change and its planning across different levels of intervention.
Examples of best practices (e.g., Peer education, mentoring,life skills).
Planning of prevention and promotion well-being programs.
Theoretical models and steps for planning an intervention program and for the identification of specific program activities:
Preventive program evaluation: Analysis of different kinds of evaluation, experimental designs and indicators.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Classes will consist of lectures and group discussions. The students will be encouraged to take an active role in presenting some projects during classes, in order to promote reflections on the course topics.
For students attending classes a final paper is required on an intervention program carried out in small groups.
