Syllabus
Prerequisites: Knowledge of basic models and mechanisms of cognitive processing
Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology of CNS
Target skills and knowledge: Competences on neural basis of cognitive functions in the life-span
Intervantion techniques for abilitation, rehabilitation and ptentiation.
Few concepts about neuro-ergonomy
Examination methods: Written multiple choices
Assessment criteria: The cut-off is 50% of correct answer in the written examination
Course unit contents: Recently neurospycholy has been considered as one of the basic disciplines in the study of the relations between mind and brain.
Furthermore, in the last years neuropsychology has extended its field of research to affective and emotional brain circuits.
The course intends to offer a pattern of relations between brain and behaviour by the most recent and important innovations.
The course will consist of the following topics:
- Short hystory of neuropsychology
- Methods
- Functional hemispheric specialisation in the life span
- Neuropsychology of executive functions
- Cognitive and neural changing in aging
- Neuroergonomy
- Cognitive effects and expertise of different jobs
- Sport neuropsychology
- Adaptive automation
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Practical activities in laboratories and seminar with experts are programmed
Additional notes about suggested reading: for foreign students: it is possible to give the exam in English with english bibligraphy. Please contact the teacher.
