Syllabus
Prerequisites: The course requires a B2-level knowledge of English.
Class attendance is mandatory.
Target skills and knowledge: Knowledge of the elements that concur to communication: speech prosody, intonation, body language.
Examination methods: Multiple-choice test
Assessment criteria: The final grade will be based on:
- a multiple choice test on the study material and all topics discussed in class;
- a project (can be done in group) on non-verbal communication.
- class attendance.

Students who do not attend class regularly may not take the final exam (a minumum of 70% class attendence is required)
Course unit contents: The course aims to introduce students to the non-verbal elements that contribute to communciation.
The course lectures will focus on voice, body language and facial expressions.
The analysis of communication will be based on examples of spoken language produced in authentic audio and video texts.
