Prerequisites: Electromagnetism
Electrical science
Target skills and knowledge: A student who has met the objective of the course will be able to:
- Understand the nature of environmental technical problems dealing with electrical installations.
- Identify the proper prevention and/or protection action.
- Verify the compliance with the existing regulations.
Course unit contents: The course deals with the analysis of the environmental impact of electromagnetic fields. The different effects due to the values of the frequency of the fields are analyzed and biological effects are analyzed and compared with the present regulations; possible policies of prevention and protections are introduced.
