Brief description of the degree course
Caratteristiche e finalità
Il corso forma una figura professionale di alta qualificazione, specializzata nella progettazione, innovazione e gestione di sistemi economici, produttivi e di servizi caratterizzati da elevata complessità. Le competenze sviluppate permettono all'ingegnere gestionale magistrale di comprendere e governare le interconnessioni, di natura tecnico-produttiva, umana-organizzativa ed economico-finanziaria, che caratterizzano i processi complessi e innovativi. L'ingegnere gestionale magistrale è un ingegnere con le capacità di conoscere le tecnologie e di modellizzare i sistemi, con una forte vocazione alla gestione dei progetti e all'innovazione, sostenuti da un robusto bagaglio di strumenti analitico-quantitativi di supporto.
Nella formazione si persegue un approccio multidisciplinare con approfondimenti nelle aree: tecnico ingegneristiche, economico gestionali, e metodologico quantitative.
Per offrire una sempre maggiore focalizzazione sugli insegnamenti caratterizzanti la figura professionale dell'ingegnere gestionale, e flessibilità perché ogni studente possa personalizzare la propria formazione al lavoro, secondo le proprie esigenze e aspettative, il Manifesto del corso è stato completamente ridisegnato. Sono proposti cinque Orientamenti - progettati specificatamente per offrire percorsi professionali e competenze distintive e rilevanti per il mercato del lavoro:

- Strategy and Business Management
- Energy and Environmental Management
- Business and Market Innovation
Il corso prevede anche uno stage in azienda con la partecipazione a un progetto, che si conclude con un elaborato che dimostri la piena padronanza degli argomenti, e la capacità di operare in modo autonomo e originale.

Ambiti occupazionali
L'ingegnere gestionale magistrale ha ampie e qualificate opportunità lavorative nelle diverse le funzioni aziendali (produzione, logistica, acquisti e approvvigionamenti, commerciale e marketing, ricerca, sviluppo e progettazione nuovi prodotti e processi, controllo di gestione, amministrazione e analisi economiche e finanziaria, organizzazione e risorse umane ecc.) e nei diversi settori (aziende industriali, di servizi, società di consulenza e di engineering, banche, assicurazioni ecc.), di imprese ed enti nazionali ed internazionali.
La laurea magistrale fornisce, inoltre, un'adeguata preparazione per accedere a corsi master o di dottorato in discipline affini, a livello nazionale e internazionale.
