Brief description of the degree course
Caratteristiche e finalità
Il corso di laurea magistrale è volto alla formazione di specialisti delle relazioni internazionali che sappiano comprendere, a partire da una indispensabile prospettiva storica, la continua evoluzione dei contesti e dei meccanismi in cui tali relazioni si concretano, sul piano politico, giuridico ed economico. La formazione offerta è quindi essenzialmente multidisciplinare ma, al tempo stesso, permette di comprendere e valutare meglio anche caratteri o tendenze comuni alle diverse discipline, connessi non solo alle dinamiche generali di “globalizzazione” e integrazione europea, ma anche al consolidarsi di valori e istanze “trasversali” a garanzia della “qualità” di tali processi, come ad esempio la tutela dei diritti umani, dell'ambiente, delle identità culturali.
L'organizzazione del corso si propone di offrire occasioni di incontro con professionisti qualificati, che siano “testimoni” diretti di quanto gli studenti avranno appreso durante i corsi. Sono favoriti esperienze e soggiorni di studio all'estero degli studenti, attività di stage e tirocinio presso sedi diplomatiche, organizzazioni internazionali, istituzioni pubbliche e private, imprese.

Ambiti occupazionali
La laurea magistrale punta alla formazione di professionisti in grado di accedere non solo alla carriera diplomatica ma, più in generale, a lavorare presso organizzazioni internazionali ed europee, pubbliche e private. Sbocco naturale della formazione proposta è altresì l'impiego presso enti pubblici o privati nazionali, in cui sia richiesta la presenza di uno specialista in grado di confrontarsi con i diversi aspetti delle relazioni internazionali. I laureati possono inoltre svolgere attività di ricerca presso enti come l'Istituto per gli studi di politica internazionale (Ispi), l'Istituto affari internazionali (Iai), la Società italiana per l'organizzazione internazionale (Sioi).
