Common characteristics of the Integrated Course unit

Prerequisites: No particular prerequisites are needed
Target skills and knowledge: The course is aimed at introducing basic concepts and methods of Psychometrics.

More specifically, the contents of the course are the following:

- Basic set theory
- Foundations of relations and functions theories; measurement scales
- Combinatorics and probability theories
- Discrete and continuous probability distributions
- Descriptive statistics
- Basic principles of statistical inference
- z test, t test
- chi-squared test
- Correlation
- Basic principles of analysis of variance (ANOVA)
Examination methods: The exam will be on computer
Assessment criteria: The evaluation will take into account both the correct solution of the exercises, and the logical sequence of concepts that underlie the exercise. The comments to the results will be considered too.
