Prerequisites: Knowledge: Neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and clinical neurology
Skills: initial capacity of body contact
Target skills and knowledge: KNOW and place historically approaches regarding patient's neurological rehabilitation and know in general terms the history of rehabilitation in neurological fild. Learn about the major rehabilitative approaches used in current practice: therapeutic cognitive exercises and Bobath concept.
OBSERVE the patient and the rehabilitation context. Develop the skills of observation and interpretation of the gathered data. Correlating the data with rehabilitative lessons already assimilated.
DESIGN the appropriate rehabilitation operation. Learn a clinical reasoning in the systemic approach. Choose, in relation to the therapeutic context and to the scientific evidence, the rehabilitative tools most appropriate
PERFORM therapeutic exercises. Experience simple therapeutic exercises between students.
CHECK the appropriate rehabilitative operation. Carry out assessments of proposed rehabilitation (capacity for reflection). Choose assessment tools, exercises and assessment systems for the rehabilitation results.
DEVELOP an attitude of research. Organize insights and further knowledge of the subject in an autonomous manner and discuss as a group. Acquire an attitude of research to increase knowledge and to implement a critical review of the content learned
Examination methods: The assessment is integrated between: votes derived from presentation through slides of the arguments of packets for self-learning, the vote resulting from test consisting of some multiple choice questions and free brief answers; voting arising from an "implementation" of a clinical case.
Assessment criteria: Quality of the organization and the mode of presentation of the topics.
Accuracy of responses on a closed question and also the completeness of the open brief responses.

The construction of the therapeutic relationship
The rehabilitation as a cooperation act
The therapeutic system: the patient, the physiotherapist, the experience
Patient observation and interpretation of data from the rehabilitation point of view
The profile of the patient with hemiplegia, neglect, aprassia, ataxia problems
The rehabilitation of the patient with problems of hemiplegic, neglect, aprassia, ataxia.
Therapeutic exercises for the functional upper limb system, lower limb and trunk in neurological disorders
THE mental image as a tool of the year: studies on the image, implications, rehabilitative exercises and mode
THE conscious experience of the patient: theoretical contributions and implications for the rehabilitation intervention and for the exercises
The patient with spinal cord injury. Defining the level of lesion, degrees of autonomy and rehabilitation project

The main test and evaluation boards used in neurological disorders

History of the Bobath Concept (origin, evolution,)
Basic Concepts: reactions of straightening and balance, key points, co-stability, reciprocity between evaluation and treatment
The treatment, according to the Bobath concept: the constituent elements characteristic and the current aspects of clinical practice
Therapeutic Language in Bobath Concept: definitions and characteristics/mode of therapeutic language
Approach the 24h to the patient
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Lectures, packets of self-learning, individual study
