Syllabus
Prerequisites: Good knowledge of History of modern art, mainly XV and XVI centuries
Target skills and knowledge: The main purpose of the course is to introduce the student to the knowledge of the italian drawings of the Renaissance with special reference to:
-written sources
- drawing surfaces
- materials and techniques
-main types drawing and their evolution (modelbooks to sketchbooks, "primi pensieri" Figure drawings, Compositional drawings, cartoons, etc.)
Examination methods: Oral examination on the subjects of the lessons and on the suggested bibliography. Seminar on a subject planned at the beginning of the course.
Assessment criteria: Comprehension of the subject
Clearity in the exposition
Personal reinterpretation

Students must not only use their knowledge of the subject but must be able to analyse it and put it into their own words as well.
