Syllabus
Prerequisites: The student should have a good basic knowledge in the field of microeconomics and the economy of the farm.
Target skills and knowledge: The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge necessary for professional practice in the field of the rural appraisal.
Examination methods: The exam is oral. No progress tests are scheduled.
Assessment criteria: To assess the preparation of the students the following topics will be considered:
- Knowledge of the general principles of appraisal;
- Knowledge of methods of estimation;
- The ability to apply the methods to legal estimates.
Course unit contents: 1-2 CFU: Appraisal methodology
3 CFU: Appraisal applications of Financial Mathematics
4 CFU: Rural appraisal
5 CFU: Urban appraisal
6 CFU: Inheritance, compulsory purchase and easement
7 CFU: Livestock breeding and appraisal
8 CFU: Land use planning and livestock breeding
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course is divided into lectures (48 hours)and practical applications (16 hours) .
The lectures are preparatory to the knowledge of the methodologies that will be applied to case studies during the course. In this way, the student will be provided with appropriate methodological basis which should allow it to independently apply the methods learned.

Office hours: every Monday from 17:00 to 18:00 in the office of teacher, consistent with the class schedule established by the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
