Brief description of the degree course
Caratteristiche e finalità
Il corso ha lo scopo di iniziare un percorso formativo finalizzato alla progettazione, gestione e collaudo di veicoli e vettori spaziali e dei relativi sottosistemi per applicazioni civili, industriali e scientifiche. Lo studente deve quindi acquisire una solida preparazione di base tecnico-scientifica applicandosi, oltre che ai campi comuni all'ingegneria industriale anche a filoni culturali specifici quali la fluidodinamica, le strutture aerospaziali, la dinamica del volo, la gestione dei sistemi di bordo. Nelle applicazioni prettamente spaziali, inoltre, è indispensabile possedere anche gli strumenti scientifici di base utili per operare in modo coordinato e sinergico con altri ambiti scientifici (quali, ad esempio, quello dell'astronomia e delle scienze planetarie, delle bioscienze, della fisica della materia. ecc.), per cui lo studente deve dimostrare anche una apertura intellettuale che gli consenta di affrontare la continua richiesta di innovazione per prestazioni al limite delle conoscenze tecnologiche.

Ambiti occupazionali
Questa laurea mira a fornire capacità professionali necessarie ad operare nelle industrie nazionali e internazionali del settore; gestire efficacemente rapporti con le agenzie ed enti spaziali; interfacciarsi con enti pubblici e privati per la sperimentazione in campo aerospaziale. Poiché le esperienze didattiche in Italia e all'estero dimostrano che la formazione di una figura professionale, in grado di operare efficacemente nel campo dell'ingegneria aerospaziale, richiede un percorso formativo più ampio di quello triennale, il significato professionalizzante che è possibile attribuire alla laurea triennale concerne il supporto ad attività di progettazione, gestione e collaudo, svolgendo un ruolo peraltro non trascurabile come dimostrano figure presenti nelle maggiori aziende aerospaziali nazionali ed internazionali.

I laureati possono aspirare ad accedere a i corsi di laurea magistrale in particolare dell'area dell'Ingegneria Industriale secondo i relativi requisiti d'accesso.
