Syllabus
Prerequisites: Good knowledge of written and spoken French and English.
Examination methods: The quality of participation during the course and a final written report will be assessed.
Course unit contents: The seminar examines the research methods in the fields of industrial archaeology and industrial heritage history, and investigates the granting of heritage status (patrimonialisation) to the legacy of the industrial culture, in a multidisciplinary and comparative perspective, using case studies to promote the dissemination of good practices for the analysis, conservation and renewal of industrial heritage. It studies the forms of integration of industrial heritage in the framework of cultural heritage.
