Syllabus
Prerequisites: WORK AND ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
Knowledge and skills in the following disciplines: general psychology, clinical psychology and health psychology.

CULTURAL ANTROPOLOGY
English language skill B1 level, according to Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFRL).
Examination methods: WORK AND ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
Written examination; report on topic agreed with the teacher.

CULTURAL ANTROPOLOGY
Brief anthropological account (four to five pages) of a short-term ethnography on a topic to be agreed in advance with the convener of the course.
Course unit contents: WORK AND ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
The course is aimed at deepening the following themes:
•the most important theories of work and organizational theories
•the most important theories of motivation
•well-being and valorisation of the person
•psychological education in organizations and workplaces
•selection and evaluation of staff
•group psychology
•problems of conflict and cooperation
•psychology of prejudice
•communication and persuasion
•emotions in social processes
•organizational models and intervention strategies in the healthcare field.

CULTURAL ANTROPOLOGY
- Introduction to anthropology and its subfields, with specific emphasis on cultural anthropology.
- Introduction to research methods in anthropology.
- Analysis of the concepts of “body” and “well-being”.
- Main topics in medical anthropology and analysis of a specific case-study.
