Syllabus
Prerequisites: The prerequisites are included in the requirements for access to the master's degree in Product Innovation Engineering and Engineering Management. In particular, knowledge on mechanical engineering in the first cycle degree.
Examination methods: The exam consists of a written test with exercises and theoretical questions.
Course unit contents: - Introduction to the maintenance of complex systems and its relationship with other company functions. Total Productive Maintenance and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Reliability Theory: concept of components and systems. Reliability functions for repairable or non-repairable components.
- Collecting data from the field and estimation of reliability parameters.
- Reliability Theory applied to complex systems. Block Diagrams and their reliability.
- FMECA methodology for reliability analysis of critical systems.
