Syllabus
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Plant Pathology and General Arboriculture
Examination methods: The exam consists of a written test. The written test can be integrated with an interview when necessary.
Course unit contents: - Major Stone and Pome fruit diseases caused by fungi: fruit and foliar diseases; wood and soil-borne diseases.
- Diseases caused by bacteria, phytoplasmas and viruses affecting temperate fruit crops.
- Postharvest pathogens of stone and pome fruits and control measures.
- Major Grape diseases.
- Current guidelines for sustainable, integrated fruit tree disease management and new perspectives for the implementation of IPM.
